2023 François Chidaine Touraine Sauvignon

This is a classic styled Loire valley Sauvignon Blanc from François Chidain, who is arguably the region's best winemaker. This wine is produced entirely from biodynamically farmed vineyards around the villages of Montrichard & Chissay-en-Touraine, just north of the Cher river. While Touraine may not be as well known as its cousin to the east, Sancerre, it too does vibrant, aromatic Sauvignon Blanc extremely well -- and with a lower price tag. Crisp and racy on the palate with punchy citrus and notes of fresh cut grass and minerals there's a lot going on in the well priced bottle. Perfect to serve with anything that wants a nice splash of lemon.
